Dear Mr. Kora,
First, many thanks for your comments on my article which, I presume, you read in its entirety. But I think its a stretch to call the article "biased" and a cynical view of the situation on the ground. In as much as the focus is on the UDP, I don't think there's anything I have said in the article that I have not substantiated.
Furthermore, you claim that I claim in my article that the UDP has not focused on promoting women and gender issues in its 5 points agenda. All I said was that women's issues were not made a separate agenda item, but subsumed in the existing 5 items on the agenda. I would be happy if you can provide me evidence contrary to the substance of what I just said here, and said in my article. You might want to refresh your memory about the UDP agenda by visiting their Website, a link to which I provide in my article.
Finally, Mr. Kora, I see no reason why the UDP Leader Mr. Darboe should be exempt from my call for peace in the coming elections. Indeed, the call for peace is not only for our political leaders, but for all Gambians; you and me included.
I wish you all the best with your campaign, and safe elections!
